Update your Pc Drivers

Restore current Windows System

Norton Antivirus Un-install and Re-install if constant Error 3048 3 is showing

If this error is associated with your current antivirus program, then re- installing the program is the best option :

Follow  the steps for Windows 7 and Windows Vista:

• By Pressing start button open programs and features.
• On the right side menu, click on Control Panel.
• Press on the programs.
• Click on Programs and Features.
• Locate Error 3048 3 in Windows 7 Associated Program under the Name column
• Press on Norton Antivirus Associated entry.
• Press Uninstall button on the menu ribbon.
• For complete un-installation of your error 3048 3 with associated program accordingly follow on-screen instructions.

Follow  the steps for Windows XP:

• Press start button to open programs and features.
• Press on Control Panel.
• Then click on Add or Remove Programs.
• In the list of current Installed Programs locate Norton Error 3048 3 Windows 7 Associated Program.
• Click Norton Antivirus associated entry.
• On the right side Click on the Remove button.
• To complete the un-installation of your error 3048 3 associated program so follow the on-screen instructions.

Follow  the steps for windows 8

• To create Start Menu image move the cursor in the Bottom Left of the Screen.
• Right click to bring up the Start Context Menu
• Click on Programs and Features.
• Under the Name column locate Norton Error 3048 3 Windows 7 Associated Program.
• Press Norton Antivirus associated entry.
• Click on the Un-install or Challenge on the top most menu ribbon.
• For complete the un-installation of your error 3048 3 associated program accordingly follow the on-screen instructions.
• Once you successfully  un-install the Error 3048 3 with associated program then re-install the program according to the given  Symantec instructions.

Different ways to fix Norton Antivirus Error “3048 3” – Part 1

Error “3048 3” appear during installation of antivirus software when other Symantec software is running. One can also recognize this error when you are setting windows operation or while starting or shutdown the window.

Once window program crashed, it crash constantly.
Windows opened by itself, mouse and keyboard input by itself.
System will hang again and again.

Here is step by step solution to get rid of Error 3048 3 -

 Registry Files Repair Error 3048 3

Start with editing windows catalog but only if you are skilled in PC service because if you do it incorrect, it will cause irreparable harm to your system.

For editing windows catalog, first make back up exporting a part of catalog Error 3048:

•  Click start button.
• Write “command” in search box and “Enter”.
• While holding CTRL-Shift hit “Enter”.
• You will be forced with an approval dialogue box.
•  Click on  Yes option.

Then one black box come into view with a blinking pointer.
Type “Regedit” and press“Enter”.
In Catalog Editor, choose the Error 3048 3 linked Norton Antivirus key which you want to backup.
In the menu File select the export option.
Save Norton Antivirus backup key from the Save In list in the selected folder.
Name the backup file.
Choose“Selected Branch” in  Export Range box.
Press on save option.
File is saved by .reg file extension.
By this you are saving backup of your Norton Antivirus Catalog.

Malware Scan to be perform

Error 3048 3 may be related to a part of the virus program of its own. Your device gets harm because there is a chance your device already has malware which will corrupt or delete all data.

• Write “cleanmgr” and Enter.
• Disk Cleanup will start scheming that how much disk space you can regain

Based on your selection of the sequence of the checkboxes a disk cleanup dialog box will become visible. Several times the “temp files” category sticks with the disk space. To clean them check out the boxes from those categories and click ok.

How to resolve Norton product Error: "8504,104"

Error 8504,104 is very common during installation of Norton product. There are two reasons of causing this error, one either it is an already installed security product does not allowing Norton to install or file is missing during the upgrade to a newer version.

To fix this error user has to uninstall the existing Norton product and then again has to re-install it. It is advised to check no other antivirus or software is running on your system during the installation process.
Here are three steps to do for complete and error free installation, first, remove existing Norton and re-install, second, remove all non-Symantec security product and lastly, update video graphics driver.

Step 1: Uninstall existing Norton and re-install:

·         Download the Norton remove and reinstall tool.

·         Open desktop windows and save the file. Sometimes file is automatically saved in some browsers to default location.

·         Press the Ctrl + J key, the Downloads window will open in your browser.

·         Double-click on NRnR icon.

·         Click agrees to license agreement.

·         Click on advanced options.

·         Click on remove only.

·         Click remove.

·         Restart now.

Computer restarts itself, follow instructions given on screen to re-install your Norton product.

Step 2: Remove all non-Symantec security product

·         To open the Run dialog box, press the Windows + R key.

·         Type following text “ appwiz.cpl”and press Enter.

·         Remove all non-Symantec security products from the list of installed programs.

·         Follow instructions given on screen.

·         Restart your computer, once the un-installation is complete.

Step 3: Update video graphics driver

·         Again to open the Run dialog box, press the Windows + R key.

·         Type in the following text “devmgmt.msc” and press Enter.

·         Double-click on Display adapters in the Device Manager window.

·         Right-click on the HD graphics, and select properties.

·         Graphics card driver is old version or new, check it On the Driver tab.

·         If graphics card driver is outdated version you will need to update or install new version. To perform this:

Select your graphics card manufacturer:

             -AMD/ATI Radeon HD video graphics

             -Intel HD video graphics

             -NVIDIA graphics

Restart the computer and check if the issue has been resolved.
